For us at Search and Select this isn’t just a mission statement, it’s the cornerstone of our business and defines our unique approach to the recruitment profession .
As the name suggests, we’re very selective in what we do and how we do it. With a team of five consultants we offer an unmatched level of personal service and expertise in our specialist areas of executive, general and temporary/contract recruitment solutions, operating principally within the finance sector.
Five consultants, three areas – but only one level of service - professionalism at its best.
Although our consultants each have their own specialist areas, to arrive at the most suitable recruitment solution they will always take a collective view of each candidate’s requirements and pool their expertise.
Candidates – in the unlikely event we haven’t been able to place you we will always maintain regular contact. We’ll also assist you with your CV and other paperwork, as well as give advice on taxation and any other employment-related issues.
Client companies – we’ll maintain frequent contact for updates on job availability. Our pre-screening procedures are painstaking and if we can’t find the right person for a particular job, we’ll always say so rather than attempt to place someone who is unsuitable, because at Search and Select we believe long-term business relationships are more important than an individual placement.
And because we choose to remain a small, specialist agency we limit the number of candidates we register so we always provide the best possible personal service.

History
Search and Select Offshore was formed in 1998 through one man’s vision – managing director Alan Burman, MREC. With a background in senior retail and business development management, Alan Burman was determined Search and Select should stand apart from other recruitment agencies, and created a small tight-knit business of skilled, enthusiastic consultants who understood the industry, could meet and exceed their client companies’ expectations and would only ever select the most suitable candidates.
It’s a vision that has seen Search and Select become the preferred agency for many candidates and leading financial institutions.
