Report reveals shifting employment trends in Isle of Man fiduciary sector
Recruitment specialists Search & Select have published their sixth annual Fiduciary Salary & Benefits Report, highlighting notable shifts in the Island’s employment landscape.
Drawing on data from corporate service providers of all sizes, the report tracks salary levels, benefits packages and recruitment trends between July 2024 and June 2025, and places these in the context of six years of historic data.
Among the high-level findings:
Flexibility has overtaken salary increases as the leading factor influencing employees’ career decisions.
Restructuring, redundancies and role consolidation have been more visible this year, reflecting wider changes across the Island’s economy.
Compliance functions remain under sustained pressure, with demand for skilled professionals set to increase further ahead of the MONEYVAL evaluation in 2026.
Junior recruitment and development are playing a growing role as firms respond to shortages of experienced hires.
Mark Burman, Director at Search & Select, said: “The fiduciary sector continues to be one of the Isle of Man’s most significant employers and contributors to the local economy. How businesses in this space approach pay, benefits and workforce planning doesn’t just affect their own competitiveness – it has a wider impact on the Island’s ability to attract and retain talent, to support professional development, and to remain a jurisdiction of choice for financial services.
He continues: Our latest report provides a clear benchmark of where the sector stands today and the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. We hope it will support employers in making decisions that benefit both their organisations and the Island’s economy as a whole.”
