Business Development Manager

Our client seeks a Business Development Manager to join their team.
Role: As a BDM, you will respond to inbound enquiries mainly via phone or email from contractors looking for guidance in relation to their contracting options. Furthermore, you will proactively develop relationships with introducers and grow your network to ensure you have multiple avenues of business being development through your own means in a proactive fashion. Through your confident and informed explanation of the options available you will be able to promote the company's recommended selection. You will need to retain regular contact with your existing portfolio whilst securing new business for the company's preferred suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and retain existing relationships with introducers, clients, and referrers.
  • Following up new business opportunities and setting up meetings.
  • Increasing client base.
  • Having an in-depth knowledge of business products.
  • You will ensure that all internal systems are updated with every customer contact comprehensively and appropriately.
  • You will ensure that all the information that you are giving out is up to date and correct and that nothing is omitted in assisting the contractor with making a suitable choice.
  • You will undertake any other appropriate activities in support of the achievement of your own target or that of the team.
  • Approach your role with a proactive manner focusing mainly on the telephone to generate your activity.
  • To assist with any ad-hoc projects that may be in the process of being carried out.

  • Determination to achieve target as demonstrated through previous (ideally telephone based) sales roles.
  • Previous contractor market experience desirable.
