Our client seeks a Credit Risk Management Officer to join their team.
Role Profile:
To provide specialist & operational support to the Manager, Credit Risk Management, Consumer and High Net Worth (CHNW) regarding administrative and risk management duties, including credit risk account management of High Net Worth accounts related to Vehicle Asset Finance, Home Loans and Unsecured Loans to ensure that the Company remains within the regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse, track and scrutinise caveats/conditions imposed on approved applications for adverse trends and compile a joint plan of action with the Credit Evaluation Manager and the Business Unit to regularise accounts where particular risks have changed or covenants breached, related to High Net Worth Client's Vehicle Asset Finance, Home Loans and Unsecured Loans.
- Check and validate all High Net Worth application related to Vehicle Asset Finance, Home Loans and Unsecured Loans on the systems, including CAMS, PASS Credit Card and Finacle systems, to ensure that information is correct and forward relevant documentation to the Manager, Credit Risk CHNW.
- Collaborate and provide specialised support to Branch and Business Unit Managers regarding Audit and Risk issues, in support of the Manager, Credit Risk CHNW.
- Collaborate, monitor and advise the Vehicle Asset Finance (VAF), Home Loans and Unsecured Loans Department pertaining to Credit Risk and Risk Management.
- Collate and assess the Business Banking Rating System (BBRS) on all accounts with exposures more than 100,000 US Dollar to establish the financial performance and risk grading of the client.
- Compile, maintain and consolidate information and reports to ensure that the Business Units have a comprehensive audit trail and information / data in place, reflective of correspondence to stakeholders with regards to conditions outstanding and limits loaded, agreed turnaround times maintained and improved, risks and losses minimised due to potential negligence.
- Engage all Stakeholders on a continued basis by planning and conducting training interventions, to ensure that staff members are regularly updated on any Credit Risk Management, Compliance and System changes within the Account Management area, understanding challenges and sharing the processes and procedures of Account Management to ensure that business unit inputs and processing are correct.
- Manage and co-ordinate the day-to-day and operational functioning of the Credit Risk Management Business Unit in the absence of the Manager, Credit Risk Management (CHNW), including overseeing disciplinary and human resources related activities, to ensure the Business Unit remains within People Policies, processes and procedures.
- Record and maintain annual financial statement documents in alignment with Policy, procedures and legal requirements, identifying high risk incidence in the financials and escalate findings to the Manager, Credit Risk CHNW.
- Scrutinise the adherence to conditions of approval, check, verify that conditions are included in the drafted Facility Letters and conditions of sanction loaded to the diary system.
- Validate and verify the correctness of limit loading, disbursements, excesses on accounts, reschedules on payment amounts and alignment of salary within the approved delegated authority.
Key Skills & Experience:
- 5 years total experience in Banking
- 1-2 years product knowledge regarding banking products and services, systems, policies and procedures
- 3-4 years' experience pertaining to credit risk management, understanding the products and facilities and where risks lay in these facilities.
- Diploma Business Commerce (Required)
- Diploma Risk Management (Required)
- Post Graduate Diploma Banking (Preferred)
- First Degree Business Commerce (Preferred)
