Our client seeks a Financial Reporting Accountant to join their team.
 
Role Profile
You will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting processes, with a drive to understand the complexities of the business and capable of tackling problems from all sorts of different angles.
 
This role will involve various aspects of corporate finance and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and transparency. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of financial records and supporting decision-making processes within the organisation.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts and onward reporting to internal and external stakeholders
  • Preparation of statutory reporting
  • Ensuring the accurate and timely maintenance of core accounting records
  • Covenant monitoring and reporting to external finance providers
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • Preparation and submission of IOM and UK Corporate Tax returns and ensuring compliance with the latest taxation legislation
  • Liaising with external auditors
  • Training and mentoring junior members of staff
 
Key Skills & Experience
  • An ACA or ACCA qualified Accountant
  • 1-2 years PQE, experience in a financial reporting role would be desirable
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Willingness to embrace an environment where no two days are the same
  • Attention to detail in a pressured environment is critical
  • Ambition to be a key team member, driving an already successful business to even greater heights
  • Solid commercial acumen and a desire to push boundaries to constantly improve
  • Experience of working within a business with high volumes of transactions would be desirable.
