Our client seeks a Fund Accountant to join their team.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining the accounting records of the trust structures;
  • Maintenance of statutory registers;
  • Maintenance of minute book;
  • Attending to all necessary corporate filings and meetings;
  • Managing the process for Trust set-up / take on;
  • Ensuring that the Fund is fully compliant with its Offering Document and Investment Parameters therein;
  • Ensuring preparation of regular reports giving details of the activities and results of the Fund for issue to the Directors of the Fund;
  • Ensuring that all necessary filings to the appropriate regulatory bodies or Stock Exchanges on which the Fund is listed.
  • Review of the valuation process prior to prices being published;
  • Preparation of the annual financial statements of the Fund and arrangement of the annual audit of its books and records;
  • Ensuring an applicant for investment in the Fund is a Qualified Holder as defined in the Offering Document of the Fund and is permitted to hold or continue to hold participating shares in the Fund;
  • Reviewing customer due diligence (“CDD”) performed on initial applications for investment and ongoing CDD monitoring;
  • Reviewing of all certificates, statements and notices which the Fund is required to issue relating to the issue and/or redemption of participating shares;
  • Managing the process for Fund set-up / take on.
  • The monitoring and reconciliation of cash transactions and positions to daily/monthly bank / broker statements and posting of activity to the ledgers of the Fund;
  • The monitoring and reconciliation of all portfolio transactions and positions made by the Investment Manager to daily/monthly bank / broker statements and posting of activity to the ledgers of the Fund;
  • The monitoring and reconciliation of all foreign currency hedging transactions to daily/monthly bank / broker statements and posting of activity to the ledgers of the Fund;
  • Instructing the Fund's bankers and/or brokers as to the payment of any amounts payable by the Fund and arranging for the despatch of all payments due in connection with the redemption of participating shares;
  • On instruction from the Investment Manager, negotiating all borrowing arrangements and supervising the implementation of such arrangements;
  • Ensuring that the Fund has agreed and signed all service agreements and that all terms and conditions of those agreements are being adhered to;
  • Declaring the suspension of the valuation of the net assets of the Fund when conditions exist that requires a suspension;
  • Preparation of any reports, notices and other documents, which the Fund is required to issue to shareholders in respect of any meetings of shareholders, convened;
  • Preparation of regular reports giving details of the activities and results of the Fund for issue to the Directors of the Fund;
  • As and when instructed by the Directors of the Fund, making arrangements for an increase in the authorised share capital of the Fund;
  • Maintaining the books and records of the company in accordance with the laws of the relevant jurisdictions;
  • Carrying out all necessary filings to the appropriate regulatory bodies or Stock Exchanges on which the Fund is listed;
  • Monthly asset pricing and valuation of the portfolio;
  • Determining impact of foreign currency hedging transactions on the assets of the portfolio in relation to each currency share class;
  • Calculation and monitoring of all expense accruals and fees including Management and Performance fees;
  • Calculation of Equalisation;
  • Calculation and monitoring of receipt of all income and entitlements;
  • Calculating the Total Net Asset Value of the Fund's assets;
  • Calculating the Fund's Net Asset Value per share;
  • Providing copies of the Net Asset Value calculations to the Investment Manager;
  • Preparing Net Asset Value statistical data for uploading to the websites of the Investment Manager and Fund Administrator;
  • Maintenance of accounting records in accordance with relevant accounting standards;
  • Preparation of the annual financial statements of the Fund and arrangement of the annual audit of its books and records;
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts for CSP Client Companies, including Statements of Assets and Liabilities and VAT where appropriate. Production of Draft Financial Statements;
  • Receiving applications for investment into the Fund;
  • Determining whether or not an applicant for investment in the Fund is a Qualified Holder as defined in the Offering Document of the Fund and is permitted to hold or continue to hold participating shares in the Fund;
  • Carrying out customer due diligence checks (“CDD”) for initial applications for investment and ongoing CDD monitoring;
  • Allotment of participating shares;
  • Determining the amount payable to or by the Fund on the issue and/or redemption of participating shares;
  • Applying equalisation adjustments at the point of issue and/or redemption of participating shares;
  • Arranging for the publication of the subscription and redemption price;
  • Preparation of all certificates, statements and notices which the Fund is required to issue relating to the issue and/or redemption of participating shares;
  • Maintenance of the share register;
  • Receiving, managing and dealing with all shareholder queries;
  • Maintenance of statutory registers;
  • Maintenance of minute book, and;
  • Attending to all necessary corporate filings.
