Our client seeks a Head of Management Information to join their team.
 
Role: Contribute towards and accountable for the delivery of the Bank's overall strategy by maintaining a robust planning and performance framework based on business drivers and embedding forward looking reporting to ensure risks to the delivery of the Bank's strategic, budget and forecast performance are identified and dealt with in a timely manner.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collate financial forecasts based on the strategic value drivers agreed by the Strategic Committee (“StratCo”). This includes the medium term strategic forecast (Shape), Budgets, revised and rolling forecasts
  • Deliver quality financial performance variance analysis to explain trends and variances and provide insights required to drive intervention actions.
  • Continuously improving the quality of the annual budgeting and revised forecast process by setting up and maintaining a robust framework for cost allocation and revenue segmentation and ensuring appropriate governance is adhered to in managing changes to the framework as well as providing challenge back to the business and driving consensus on assumptions adopted.
  • Oversee the quarterly review processes including preparation of relevant executive reports such as the Strategic Business Review (“SBR”), Board reports and any special papers required by the board.
  • Support the year end statutory accounts reporting process as required, and providing input into the reconciliation of MI results with the statutory view.
  • Manage the finance business partnership by ensuring a robust stakeholder engagement plan is maintained and monitored, with quarterly reviews of key issues presented to the Head of Finance and the CFO.
  • Investigate and implement efficiencies in management reporting activities including revenue and cost consolidations/allocations to deliver shorter reporting turnaround time.
  • Work closely with the Treasury function to monitor and devise strategies for maximising Interest Margin (NIM) from overall returns from the balance sheet.
 
Key Skills & Experience:
  • Accounting qualification such as ACCA/ACA/CIMA
  • 3-4 years' experience as a finance manager in a financial services company, interacting and partnering with various stakeholders to deliver the required financial deliverables
  • 3-4 years' experience in finance information reporting, analytics and advisory to business.
  • Experience to leading a team to deliver finance deliverable and guide business according to the plans set out.
