Our client seeks an HR Officer (Internship) to join their busy Human Resources (HR) and Learning  & Development (L&D) department. on a 12 month contract.  
   
Role Profile: You will be responsible for assisting with all the activities within the busy HR, L&D & payroll department, including data entry and records management.  
   
Key Responsibilities
  • Timesheet data entry on a weekly basis.
  • Ensuring compliance with terms and conditions, and that all deadlines are met.
  • Assist in the effective management of HR, L&D and payroll systems.
  • Assist in transition to more effective ways of working.
  • Be able to work to strict deadlines and have the ability to organise personal workload effectively.
  • Have an awareness of the levels of standards required by customers  and ensure such standards are maintained at all times.
  • Be an effective communicator for the full range of workforce.
  • Co-operate with other members of staff at all levels.
  • Be an effective user of information technology, including MS Office, Navision etc.
  • Self-motivated, reliable and flexible.
  • Ability to work effectively as an individual as well as part of a team.
  • Collaborative working and knowledge sharing.
  • Have good numeracy, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Will have experience of working in an office environment.
  • Awareness and compliance with relevant health, safety and environmental legislation and Industry standards.
  • Have an understanding of the requirement for performance in accordance with the six policies.
 
Key Skills and Experience
  • 5 GCSE's or equivalent at grade C or above (including Mathematics and English)
  • Working within an HR / L&D Department
  • Payroll input, maintenance and delivery
  • Dealing effectively with employees at all levels
  • Be an effective user of information technology, including MS Office
  • Accurate records maintenance, including scanning
  • Able to effectively balance competing priorities
  • Numerate and methodical
  • Capable of establishing and maintaining trust, confidence and confidentiality
  • Enabling, encouraging and supportive
  • Ability to work effectively as an individual as well as part of a team
