Our client seeks an Information Security Manager to join their team.
Role Profile: You will be responsible for aligning security initiatives with enterprise programs and business objectives, ensuring that information assets and technologies are adequately protected. This role will require a hands-on approach. We require someone who can see the long-term vision as well as carrying out the day to tasks to ensure the environment is secure.

Key Skills and Experience:
Essential Criteria:
- At least 10 years' experience of working within an IT support environment.
- Professional Information Security membership and certification (CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP)
- Thorough understanding of standards compliance processes (specifically ISO27001 and SOX)
- Experience implementing Splunk in the security environment.
- Good understanding of the Data Protection Act 1998 and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
- Good understanding of UK & US government information technology frameworks and systems in information management, security, and risk strategies
- Act as a single point of contact in the development, delivery, and oversight of an effective Information Security Management System across the business
- Detailed experience of the management of information security issues and incidents.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Development and communication of information security reports to Risk Committee and clients as required.
- Knowledge and experience using Juniper Big IP load balancers.
- Knowledge with MFA and management of digital certificates.
- Identity management and access platforms, CyberArk.
- Microsoft endpoint management.
- Experience securing cloud and office 365 domains.
- Knowledge of programming skills are preferred (e.g. knowledge of C++, PHP languages)
- Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g. NIST Cybersecurity framework) and risk management methodologies
- Knowledge of patch management, firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems (e.g. Checkpoint)
- Familiarity with public key infrastructure (PKI) and cryptographic protocols (e.g. SSL/ TLS)
- Implementation of standards in accordance with agreed business requirements.
- Strong IT skills and knowledge including hardware, software, and networks.
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of IT systems.
- A forensic approach to challenges
- Ability to seek out vulnerabilities in IT infrastructures.
- Proven experience as a Computer Security Specialist
- Excellent numeracy, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- An analytical mind with excellent problem-solving ability
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Outstanding communication and organization skills
- Decision-making skills
- A strong working knowledge of Information and Security best practice
- A broad technical appreciation of modern IT architecture and design
