Our client is looking for an Information Systems Intern to join their team.
 
The Role: Internships with this company are primarily about giving you the skills, experience and confidence that come with working for a global financial services organisation with a great culture. The purpose of the role is for Interns to  
learn, grow & develop their skills.  
Within the Information Systems (IS) Department, you will work on real-world software projects for use by Staff & Customers. You will learn about the Software Development Lifecycle and all the different skills & processes that  
feed into Software Development.  
   
This Internship is not just for Computer Science Students (i.e. Software Programmers). Whilst our client needs Programmers, they're also looking for Interns who are analytical, pragmatic & ready to learn - irrespective of your area of study. There are many possible roles within the Information System Department including:
  • Business Analysis
  • Project Management
  • Software Testing
  • Software Development
  • Infrastructure
  • First Line Support
 
 
  • Identify problems & suggest possible solutions
  • Demonstrate innovative thinking that does not accept the obvious solution

  • Learn to gather & collate requirements for new processes or software
  • Learn to design software solutions to business requirements (with assistance)
  • Demonstrate software designs to your business customers
  • Learn how to code new software solutions to meet business requirements
  • Propose & deliver new software development tools & techniques where necessary
  • Learn how to create Test Scripts for new software. Execute the Test Scripts & record results
  • Log & manage defects/bugs
  • Manage own work and ensure that agreed deadlines are met
  • Create project plans for own work & monitor adherence to the plan

  • Some programming experience in languages such as CSS, C#, HTML or SQL
