Our client seeks a Part Qualified Trainee Accountant to join their Finance Team
Role Profile: Reporting to one of the Financial Reporting Managers, this role will be responsible for ensuring that source data used by the Financial Reporting team is delivered on time, of a high quality and able to stand up to external scrutiny. The successful candidate will work with the finance and senior management team to pro-actively keep pace with accounting and regulatory development within the Group to help ensure the robustness of reported results supporting analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare internal, external and regulatory reports
- Support the monthly close process within agreed timelines, ensuring quality and integrity of reporting
- Work alongside the actuarial team, to understand and rationalize the results
- Engage with management and Regulators as required to explain the results
Key skills and experience:
- Part qualified accountant, studying with ACCA or ACA
- Financial reporting and management accounting experience
- Good Excel skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work to challenging deadlines
The successful candidate will be able to continue their studies towards their accounting qualification. We provide a comprehensive study package, which includes access to external training material and study leave. Salary increments will be awarded as you progress through the examinations and take on more responsibility.
You will join a Finance team of around 60 people, Be part one of the financial reporting or financial systems teams. Expand your experience through rotations between the various teams over the course of the training period.
