Our client seeks a People Business Partner to join their team.
 
Role Profile:
Responsible for delivering people management strategies in support of the organisation's strategic aims. The role has an operational and strategic focus, providing advice and support on all People Operations matters. The People Business Partner co-ordinates and implements services, policies and programs, reporting to, assisting and advising the board of directors as required.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Working in close partnership with senior management to prepare and implement People Operations strategies
  • Responsibility for the recruitment process and maintaining starter and leaver procedures
  • Supporting managers and team leaders in the recruitment process
  • Developing and maintaining effective People Operations procedures and policies to reflect business aims and focus
  • Ensuring that managers and staff are fully aware of People Operations policies
  • Providing guidance on People Operations policy and procedures; carrying out training where required
  • Keeping up to date with Isle of Man employment law
  • Managing investigations and complex employee relation issues including redundancy and grievance
  • Ensuring employee relation cases are managed to meet best practice requirements
  • Monitoring all employee records with regard to absence, sickness, maternity and other leave requests and providing regular reports to the senior management team
  • Managing personnel files to ensure they are kept up to date
  • Gathering and evaluating market data to measure the organisation's competitiveness for salary reviews, compensation and benefits packages
  • Introducing and driving change management initiatives
  • Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Taking responsibility for maintaining the People management system and ensuring that all employees are onboarded, their information updated and maintained, and that they are fully trained on how to use it on day to day basis
  • Providing MI, metrics and analytics information when required and provide solutions to identified issues
 
Key Skills & Experience:
  • Proven People Operations general experience at both strategic and operational level
  • Professional qualification (CIPD) with up to five years post qualification experience
  • Thorough, up-to-date knowledge of employment law
  • Good decision-making abilities
  • Good Leadership and management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Experience of recruitment and interviews at a senior level
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional planning and project management skills and experience
