Procurement Controller

Our Client seeks a Procurement Controller.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting Centralised Purchasing
  • SharePoint Tracker Management
  • Good Commercial Analytics
  • Purchase Order/Purchasing Support
  • Supplier Assertations and alignment with H&S, ISO Standards
  • Supporting Effective Supplier Management and Key Supplier KPI reporting
  • Assist Head of Procurement with key activities as required
  • Support general Procurement Department administration
  • Ability to organise and support Contract Management
  • Cost Saving Programme Support. Supporting a business return on investment
  • Sage Reporting for Shop and Inventory whilst providing support for data extraction
  • Keeping key trackers up to date
  • Ensuing the Cost Saving Programme reporting is accurate and up to date
  • Proactive support for key Renewals
  • Purchase Order Support/Raising
  • Focused support for Centralised Purchasing
  • Contact Management Support
  • Proactive vendor relations management, driving forward vendor success
  • Interdepartmental support - Covering key PO's, purchasing tasks as and when required 
  • Sage Reporting as required (training will be given)
Key Skills & Experience:
  • Great grasp of commercial realities
  • Excellent analytical capabilities, extending to Excel and / or Power BI
  • A high degree of organisational skills
  • A methodical and logical approach
  • An ability to be self-motivated and self-sufficient
  • Knowledge of the business and IT systems would be preferable
  • Knowledge of SharePoint
  • Excellent communication skills are required and an ability to interact with an array of people within the business and 3rd party vendors
  • Ability to work to a high work rate whilst also working on a variable work load/task
  • The role would suit a candidate who is enthusiastic, proactive and is looking to move forward to gain a greater understanding on how the business operates in a Procurement/Commercial capacity
  • Ability to work well with others and follow an approach in line with the best interests of the business
  • Ability to support key decisions, refer suggestions and grow within the role
  • You will be dynamic in your area and make focused decisions within your core area
  • Flexibility and an agility of approach, proactive and engaging
