Our client seeks a Senior Administrator - Fund Services to join their team.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
Fund Operations:
  • On instruction from the Investment Manager, negotiating all borrowing arrangements and supervising the implementation of such arrangements;
  • Ensuring that the Fund has agreed and signed all service agreements and that all terms and conditions of those agreements are being adhered to;
  • Ensuring that the Fund is fully compliant with its Offering Document and Investment Parameters therein;
  • Declaring the suspension of the valuation of the net assets of the Fund when conditions exist that requires a suspension;
  • Preparation of any reports, notices and other documents, which the Fund is required to issue to shareholders in respect of any meetings of shareholders, convened;
  • Preparation of regular reports giving details of the activities and results of the Fund for issue to the Directors of the Fund;
  • As and when instructed by the Directors of the Fund, making arrangements for an increase in the authorised share capital of the Fund;
  • Carrying out all necessary filings to the appropriate regulatory bodies or Stock Exchanges on which the Fund is listed.
 
Registrar and Transfer Agencies:
  • Receiving applications for investment into the Fund;
  • Determining whether or not an applicant for investment in the Fund is a Qualified Holder as defined in the Offering Document of the Fund and is permitted to hold or continue to hold participating shares in the Fund;
  • Carrying out customer due diligence checks (“CDD”) for initial applications for investment and ongoing CDD monitoring;
  • Allotment of participating shares;
  • Determining the amount payable to or by the Fund on the issue and/or redemption of participating shares;
  • Applying equalisation adjustments at the point of issue and/or redemption of participating shares;
  • Arranging for the publication of the subscription and redemption price;
  • Preparation of all certificates, statements and notices which the Fund is required to issue relating to the issue and/or redemption of participating shares;
  • Maintenance of the share register, and;
  • Receiving, managing and dealing with all shareholder queries.
 
Corporate Secretarial:
  • Maintenance of statutory registers;
  • Preparation of board packs and attending board meetings
  • Maintenance of minute book, and;
  • Drafting of minutes and resolutions, agreements and,
  • Attending to all necessary corporate filings.
 
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years funds experience
  • Good organisation and control of own workflow
  • Understanding of the importance of and application of strong Corporate Governance
  • Initiative-taking and can work under pressure
  • A practical understanding and application of high-quality client service delivery
  • Ability to identify problems and resolve
  • Good verbal, written communication, and people skills, with the ability to present concepts in a clear and concise manner
  • Clear understanding of the products and services provided
  • Ability to identify, mitigate and manage operational risk and controls within own area
  • Clear understanding of Regulatory requirements
  • The ability to deal with clients and professional advisors thereby showing a commitment to providing a quality service.
  • Able to work on own initiative and to be highly disciplined.
  • Experienced in Financial Services (Trust and Company) administration functions
  • History of high-quality delivery of client service
