Our client seeks an experienced and passionate Azure Cloud Engineer to join their Infrastructure team.
Role Profile: You will be an active and leading member of a cloud-focused team of engineers working on one many flagship projects, driving delivery of secure and stable platform in Azure Cloud that will enable the business to realise the next generation of services that form the Bank's vision for 2023 and beyond!
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop solutions integrating Microsoft Azure clouds (government and commercial) with services hosted on-premise
- Define and implement Azure cloud-based solution architectures
- Help monitor Azure cloud-based systems for availability, performance, reliability, security, etc. using tools like Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, Azure Trusted Advisor, Science Logic, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or similar
- Utilize automation tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Terraform, Ansible, or similar
- Assist with upgrading, installing, and configuring monitoring solutions for Azure IaaS Windows and Linux servers and PaaS services like Azure SQL
- Manage and optimise current Azure Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
- Install operating systems and application software in cloud compute environments
- Maintain cloud network configurations and network diagrams, Including Azure VPN.
- Report on current infrastructure status and planning for future usage
- Help automate the management and enforcement of policies using Azure Policies, Turbot, or similar
- Advise on cost optimization for current infrastructure
Key Skills and Experience:
- 3-5 years Azure Cloud experience
- 3-5 years Infrastructure experience
- Experience implementing, migrating, managing, and operating systems/applications in an enterprise cloud computing environment
- Subject matter expertise with Microsoft Azure
- Experience designing and developing Azure computing infrastructure, data implementation, networking implementation, security and identity solutions, and solutions by using Azure platform services
- History of performing hands-on Azure work to solve complex technical problems
- One or more Azure cloud certifications
- Experience implementing secure and scalable Azure cloud architectures
- Azure PowerShell or similar scripting experience
- Experience implementing and managing DevOps pipelines for cloud-based workloads
- Ability to work on a team as well as independently to achieve team goals
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in communications and documentation
- Desire to understand how things work
- Train and develop the team so as to ensure that there is an adequate supply of trained manpower in the said technology and deliver risks are mitigated.
