Administration Officer - Finance

Our client seeks an experienced and analytical Administration Officer to join their Finance team for a temporary contract.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience within the finance operation while supporting critical functions across multiple departments. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process debtor invoices accurately and ensure timely issuance across departments.
- Receipt daily banking operations and prepare bank paying-in slips.
- Balance debtor spreadsheets and maintain accurate financial records.
- Chase outstanding debts and issue appropriate reminder notices.
- Process creditor invoices in accordance with financial regulations.
- Download and reconcile bank statements from multiple departments.
- Run daily debtor reports and update departmental worksheets.
- Investigate and resolve queries from departments and suppliers.
Create and maintain customer and supplier accounts on the internal system.
- Support internal journal processing and general ledger reconciliation.
- Monitor shared inboxes and provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with other areas within the division as required by management.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Relevant experience in a professional office environment.
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with SharePoint systems would be advantageous.
- Previous experience with financial systems.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Outstanding communication skills for dealing with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
