Our client seeks an AEOI Manager to join their team.
Role Profile You will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with global tax reporting obligations, specifically focusing on FATCA CRS and other relevant AEOI frameworks. The role involves managing the end-to-end AEOI reporting process, supporting the wider group with technical inquiries, implementing reporting solutions, and support technology automation initiatives to enhance efficiency. This position requires a blend of compliance expertise, project management, and hands-on experience with technology solutions in the financial services industry.
Key Skills and Experience
- Ensure that AEOI policies and procedures are implemented in accordance with local and international regulations.
- Perform data validation, quality assurance, and reconciliation checks to ensure accurate reporting.
- Prepare reports, certifications, and other documentation required for AEOI compliance.
- Manage the annual AEOI reporting process for FATCA and CRS, ensuring timely and accurate submissions to tax authorities.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of AEOI regulations and their application to fiduciary services.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for AEOI related queries, providing guidance on reporting obligations.
- Act as a liaison between internal teams (e.g., Compliance, Legal, and Client teams) and external stakeholders (e.g., clients, auditors, and tax authorities).
- Collaborate with client-facing teams to ensure accurate client data collection and reporting.
- Respond to ad-hoc enquiries from business units about AEOI regulations and reporting.
- Work with local business units to drive data quality.
- Work closely with technology teams to help automate and streamline the AEOI reporting process, focusing on process improvements.
- Support the development and implementation of reporting technology solutions, ensuring system alignment with global tax regulatory requirements.
- Conduct gap analyses and define system requirements for automation, data collection, and integration with tax reporting platforms.
- Implement data automation tools to ensure efficient data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
- Monitor emerging technologies and trends that can improve the AEOI reporting function.
- Develop and deliver training materials and sessions to educate internal stakeholders on AEOI obligations and best practices.
- Stay updated on evolving AEOI regulations and ensure continuous learning.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with AEOI reporting, including data inaccuracies, non-compliance, and reporting failures.
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls for the AEOI reporting process.
- Regularly review and update reporting procedures to adapt to regulatory changes.
Key Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Tax, Law, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification.
- Proven track record in the fiduciary services industry in managerial role(s).
- 5+ years of experience in AEOI reporting, FATCA/CRS compliance, or related roles within financial services or fiduciary services.
- Experience in managing technology-driven reporting processes.
- Familiarity with global tax regulations, particularly in fiduciary contexts.
- Project and change management experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of AEOI, FATCA, CRS, and other global tax reporting frameworks.
- Experience with tax reporting software and automation tools (e.g., XML Schema, reporting platforms).
- Proficient in data analytics, manipulation, and validation using Excel, SQL, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting systems and standards.
