AEOI Tax Project Lead

Our client seeks an AEOI Tax Project Lead to join their team for a minimum 12 months Fixed Term Contract.

Key Responsibilities:  
  • Lead the delivery of strategic AEOI and tax compliance projects across the business.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on FATCA, CRS, CRS 2.0 and other emerging AEOI requirements.
  • Review client tax data, classifications, self-certifications and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory obligations.
  • Analyse data and reporting outputs to identify trends, exceptions, risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, reporting and governance updates for stakeholders.
  • Support the implementation of regulatory and legislative change impacting AEOI processes and reporting obligations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, reporting quality and operational efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with Operations, Compliance, Risk, Technology and Client Services teams to deliver project objectives.
  • Support management information reporting, data analysis and stakeholder presentations.
  • Contribute to policy, procedure and process enhancements relating to AEOI obligations.
  • Deliver guidance, knowledge sharing and training to colleagues where required.
  • Support wider tax compliance and regulatory change initiatives across the business.
 
Key Skills and Experience:
  • Significant experience in FATCA, CRS, AEOI reporting or international tax compliance.
  • Strong understanding of AEOI due diligence, client classification and reporting requirements.
  • Experience delivering regulatory change, tax compliance or data-focused projects.
  • STEP, ICA, tax, compliance or related professional qualifications would be advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex issues and identify practical solutions.
  • Experience working with large volumes of data and producing meaningful management information.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis techniques.
  • Experience using Power BI or similar reporting tools would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience within banking, wealth management, fiduciary services or financial services would be highly desirable.
