Our client seeks an Assistant Investigator to join their Enforcement & Intelligence Division.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the timely and efficient progression of cases, including assisting the scoping of intelligence and investigation work and collection and analysis of information/evidence.
- Drafting document requests/statutory notices and conducting recorded interviews with witnesses/subjects as required.
- Prepare for, and present cases at, internal case committees when required.
- Work with team members to prepare for and conclude settlement discussions.
- Prepare for and progress cases through inquiry and/or any litigation which may arise.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with regulatory bodies, professional bodies and law enforcement agencies.
- Communicate with relevant case stakeholders including management, supervision, internal and external legal counsel, consultants and case subject(s).
- Ensure internal systems and procedures are adhered to including governance and decision-making protocols.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD).
- An awareness of financial services and associated legislation, regulation and guidance including trends and developments.
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage a workload of varied complexity, to manage competing priorities and to deliver against deadlines.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to assist in preparing and conducting meetings with stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally.
- Ability to build and maintain working relationships at all levels.
