Our client seeks an Assistant Manager - Risk & Compliance to join their team.  
 
Role Profile:  The role is to assist with managing and implementing the compliance activities in IOM for the licenced entities and working alongside Head of Compliance. 
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce management information in a timely manner.  
  • Undertake evaluation of internet research and World-check 1 / Media check screening output.
  • Undertake Compliance Monitoring for IOM licenced entities as requested in addition to focus on Employer Solutions entity.
  • Provide ongoing mentoring/support of the less experienced team members.
  • Work collaboratively with Senior Management of the offices that the Centralised Risk Functions Team service.
  • Provide solutions for consideration, implementing the solution and seeing it through to resolution, ensuring the management are kept informed of progress in a timely manner.
  • Work collaboratively with the administration teams and the members of the Centralised Risk Functions Team, acting as a point of contact for queries, escalating to the line Manager when required.
  • Assist the Management to build and maintain strong relationships with all department heads and senior management to ensure consistency of approach, sharing of key knowledge and minimising duplication.
  • Assist management with the oversight and management projects and provide training, support, & MI to keep all stakeholders informed timely and proactively.
  • Achieve utilization targets.
  • Undertake any other duties as deemed necessary by management.
    Ensure ongoing knowledge of, and compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to core values and expected behaviours.
  • Adhere to CPD requirements in accordance with qualification level and in-house procedures.
 
Key Skills and Experience:
  • Relevant AML/Compliance professional qualification (ICA Diploma) or studying towards it.
  • Relevant risk and compliance experience.
  • Knowledge of multi-jurisdictional AML/CFT legislation and regulatory requirements is desirable.
  • Broad understanding of risk factors.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in an organised manner with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong team player, working collaboratively and effectively with multi teams.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in delegating/coaching and developing people.
  • Working knowledge of Viewpoint is desirable.
