Our client looks for a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join their expanding Financial Services (FS) Audit team as a Senior Associate. This is a client-facing role offering strong career development opportunities, ideal for someone who thrives in a team environment and enjoys working on diverse FS audit engagements. The Financial Services audit portfolio includes a broad range of clients, including regulated entities, funds, SPVs, and other investment structures across multiple domiciles, regulatory frameworks, accounting standards (UK GAAP and IFRS), and strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead audit assignments for a range of Financial Services clients
- Prepare accounts and financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP / IFRS
- Design and implement efficient and effective audit plans
- Ensure audit engagements are delivered to the highest standards within budget and timeframe
- Act as a technical resource for FS accounting and regulatory issues, including delivering training and contributing to technical insights
- Manage and mentor junior team members, supporting their development and performance
- Contribute to building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth audit process
- Support the development of the FS audit practice and contribute to business development as needed
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
- Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS
- Solid experience leading audit engagements, preferably within Financial Services
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, ambitious mindset with a commitment to high-quality work and continuous improvement
