Business Analyst

Our client seeks a Business Analyst to join their team for a minimum of 12 months Fixed Term Contract.
Working across areas including KYC/AML, data and core banking, you'll collaborate with colleagues across Front Office, Operations, IT, Risk and Compliance. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of change initiatives, gaining valuable exposure to both business and technology while developing your analytical and project delivery skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the gathering, documentation and validation of business requirements for change initiatives and projects such as KYC/AML, Data and Core Banking as examples.
- Assist with stakeholder meetings, workshops and interviews to understand business challenges, opportunities and requirements.
- Document current and future state processes, identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Produce business analysis artefacts including process maps, requirement documents, user stories, gap analyses and business impact assessments.
- Support the translation of business requirements into clear and actionable deliverables for project and technology teams.
- Assist with solution design discussions, ensuring business needs are accurately represented and understood.
- Work with stakeholders to support user acceptance testing, defect tracking and issue resolution.
- Maintain project documentation and ensure changes, decisions and requirements are appropriately recorded.
- Support change implementation activities, including communications, training and business readiness activities.
- Assist with data analysis and reporting to support decision making and project delivery.
- Build effective working relationships with colleagues across the business to understand priorities and operational requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance business processes, efficiency and client outcomes.
- Support governance activities by preparing status updates, reports and meeting materials as required.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret information and identify practical solutions.
- Previous experience within financial services, wealth management or a project environment would be beneficial but is not essential.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality documentation.
- Ability to organise, prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- An interest in business analysis, project delivery, process improvement and change management.
- Ability to gather and document business requirements in a clear and structured manner.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working with teams.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities.
- An understanding of business processes, operational workflows and customer journey principles would be advantageous.
