Our client seeks a Cloud Engineer to join their team.  
   
Role Profile:  As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the digital transformation of the company. You will assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure on the Microsoft Azure platform, enabling leverage the power of cloud computing to drive business value. Working closely with the support team, data team, and security teams, you will ensure the cloud-based systems are secure, scalable, and performant. This role is pivotal to business success.  
   
Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing and implementing Azure cloud solutions, including virtual networks, storage, compute instances, and other Azure services.
  • Configuring and managing Azure services such as Entra ID, Azure SQL Database, etc.
  • Automating deployment, scaling, and monitoring of Azure resources.
  • Collaborating with the data team to optimize data storage, processing, and analytics solutions on Azure.
  • Implementing and maintaining cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, network security groups, encryption, and monitoring.
  • Leveraging Microsoft Intune for modern device management, including policies, profiles, and application deployment, to ensure a secure and productive workforce.
  • Implementing Windows Autopilot for streamlined device provisioning and deployment, enabling seamless onboarding of new devices into the corporate environment.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Azure infrastructure, services, Intune, and Autopilot.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest Azure technologies, Intune updates, and Autopilot features, and making recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Liaising with senior members of the internal technical team and the group's technology partners to resolve issues where assistance is required.
  • Creation and maintenance of appropriate documentation and knowledge base articles for all supported applications and technologies.
  • Working in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Completing any other duties as may be required from time to time in accordance with the requirements of the role, team, and evolving nature of the function.
 
Key Skills & Experience:
  • 3 - 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • A Higher Education Certificate.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and architectures.
  • Is committed to ongoing professional development, possesses or is actively pursuing a degree in Technology; Azure Cloud qualifications are preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Networking, Azure Storage, Azure Active Directory, etc.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other scripting languages.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, etc.) and security principles.
  • Familiarity with data storage, processing, and analytics solutions on Azure.
  • Has a genuine interest in Technology and Cloud Computing combined with a positive attitude.
  • Is committed to ongoing professional development, possesses or is actively pursuing a degree in Technology; Azure Cloud qualifications are preferred.
  • Can communicate effectively - both verbally and in writing with clients and colleagues.
  • Has an enquiring mind, being able to question, research, apply and share learning.
  • Has developed excellent organisational skills and meets deadlines.
  • Applies a flexible attitude to working hours and team needs.
