Our client seeks a Communications Specialist to join their team.
 
This role covers a large variety of areas within the Communications team, with a particular focus on the creation and delivery of internal and external communications and content. The post-holder will generate ideas, write content including corporate news releases, placed articles, staff communications, customer-facing communications and digital advertising content.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Write and produce online and offline external content.
  • Develop and maintain a content calendar for both internal and external communications.
  • Alongside the Communications Lead, support Executive Team communications including internal blogs and colleague messaging.
  • Responsibility for preparing and submitting awards applications.
  • Edit the staff newsletter.
  • Alongside the Communications Lead, point of contact to deal with external media inquiries.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key industry and local journalists.
 
Key Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a communications-related role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with people at all levels.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • A full driving licence.
  • A relevant degree or communications-linked qualification would be preferable.
