Our client seeks a Communications Specialist to join their team.
This role covers a large variety of areas within the Communications team, with a particular focus on the creation and delivery of internal and external communications and content. The post-holder will generate ideas, write content including corporate news releases, placed articles, staff communications, customer-facing communications and digital advertising content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write and produce online and offline external content.
- Develop and maintain a content calendar for both internal and external communications.
- Alongside the Communications Lead, support Executive Team communications including internal blogs and colleague messaging.
- Responsibility for preparing and submitting awards applications.
- Edit the staff newsletter.
- Alongside the Communications Lead, point of contact to deal with external media inquiries.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key industry and local journalists.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a communications-related role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with people at all levels.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- A full driving licence.
- A relevant degree or communications-linked qualification would be preferable.
