Our client seeks an experienced Compliance Officer to join their team.  
 
This role works closely with the Head of Compliance and includes overseeing file reviews, managing AML/CFT reporting, updating compliance policies, preparing board meeting materials and liaising with the FSA.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Check/sign-off new business questionnaires and take-on forms.
  • Process new Client Risk Assessments completed by administrators/Directors.
  • Ensure risk rating and file review dates of all clients and client entities are entered on the appropriate systems.
  • Maintain the Risk Registers and entities/individuals being screened on RDC/SmartSearch and follow-up with queries/”hits” thereon.
  • Complete annual/triennial file reviews and follow-up with the administrators re issues found and outstanding points.
  • Alongside the Head of Compliance (”HoC”), ensure the Compliance Manual is kept up to date, adding new policies and procedures where necessary.
  • Keep Code and Rule Book BRAs (and CRA and TRA) updated for quarterly Compliance Management Meetings.
  • Complete FSA annual AML/CFT Statistical return for review and submission by the HoC each year.
  • Complete FSA Annual Financial Statistical Return in conjunction with HoC for review and submission each year.
  • Keep the data processing register, policies and procedures up to date and ensure the data risk register is reviewed at each quarterly meeting.
  • Complete (and where relevant submit directly) FSA thematic questionnaires and other ad-hoc requests for statistical information.
  • Keep up to date with changing regulation, update policies and procedures, and, in conjunction with the HoC, ensure staff are advised of the changes.
  • Organise the agenda and produce all papers for quarterly Compliance Management Meetings, including a Compliance Report and take minutes at the meeting.
  • Complete Compliance Monitoring Programme, as required, reporting back to the Directors on any areas that require attention/resolution
  • Advise the Directors from time to time on potential procedures improvements.
  • Assist the Directors, reporting back to FSA following regulatory visits
 
Key Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in CSP Compliance.
  • Collaborative mindset and initiative to suggest process improvements.
  • Strong knowledge of AML/CFT regulations.
  • Attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Proficient in compliance monitoring and reporting.
