Compliance Officer

Our client is seeking a Compliance Officer to join their small, collaborative team, supporting client onboarding, due diligence, risk assessments, and maintaining key compliance registers and reports.
 
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar or legal role and possess strong knowledge of AML/CFT regulations and compliance frameworks.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate on the new business take on process. Screening clients, CDD, Source of Funds/Wealth.
  • Carry out monthly compliance monitoring and testing.
  • Complete Customer Risk assessments, conducting enhanced RA where higher risk indicators are identified (Reputational, Operational etc).
  • Maintain complaints, gifts, conflicts of interest, bribery, POA and PEP registers.
  • Monitor and keep manuals up to date with legislation.
  • Monthly statistical reporting (entities, directorships, trusteeships, client lists (standard/high).
  • AML/CFT Statistical Return.
  • CAR Report.
  • PI Insurance renewal.
  • DR Testing.
  • Completing Annual Reviews for banks.
  • Monitoring Annual Trusted Introducer.
  • Arrange annual AML refresher training for staff and Key persons/Directors.
  • Maintain Client ID files in good order, ensure CDD is kept up to date as required and signed engagement letters are on file.
  • Completing time recording daily.
  • Any other duties that may be required to fulfil the role.
