The Role: We are seeking a Compliance Technician to join our client's Group Compliance Team as an integral member operating from the 2nd line. This is an exceptional opportunity to engage and partner with business areas across the organisation, delivering regulatory support, training, and expertise that drives compliance excellence. You will work collaboratively to achieve the Group's overarching compliance objectives while contributing to policy design, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory reporting at the highest levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Design policies, frameworks and standards of conduct, working with Senior Management to ensure effective implementation
- Design and deliver theme-based training and education programs as part of annual training agendas and ad-hoc requirements
- Undertake compliance monitoring activities, document findings, engage with stakeholders, and obtain management responses
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and represent the 2nd line as subject matter specialist at technical workshops and working party sessions
- Provide advice, guidance, oversight, and challenge on regulatory and conduct matters
- Support implementation of new rules, regulations, and legislation
- Collate data for compliance reporting packs for Executive Committee, Risk Committee, and Board meetings
- Assist in compilation of scheduled regulatory submission packs
- Deliver balanced and measured views, perceptions, and opinions across all compliance activities
Skills & Experience Required
Essential:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in compliance or investment role within FSA regulated (or equivalent) environment
- Strong working knowledge of the Isle of Man Financial Services Authority Rule Book
- Comprehensive understanding of investment or banking sector concepts and principles
- Proven track record in design, development, and implementation of 2nd line compliance processes
- Working towards recognised compliance or investment-related qualifications (ICA International Advanced Certificate level or equivalent)
- Excellent communication skills at operational and strategic levels
- Strong work ethic and collaborative approach

- Experience in multi-jurisdictional regulatory environments
- Background in financial services training delivery
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
