CSP Business Development & Client Relationship Manager

Our client seeks an experienced and knowledgeable Business Development & Client Relationship Manager to join their team.
 
The successful candidate MUST have a minimum of 8 (but 10 would be ideal) years' recent relevant experience working within a Corporate Services Provider (CSP) environment. This is an essential requirement of the role. Candidates whose experience is predominantly outside of a CSP environment, even where they have relevant business development, relationship management or financial services experience, will not meet the core experience requirement.
 
Key Responsibilities:  
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through; client referrals, networking, attending industry events & conferences, professional networks, market research and targeted outreach.
  • They should be able to build and nurture a network of professional intermediaries, including law firms, accountants and tax advisors.
  • Proactively evaluate client structures to identify cross-selling opportunities whilst ensuring long-term client retention.
  • Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Arrange and lead introductory meetings and business development presentations.
  • Onboard new clients and conduct a hand over to the administration team.
  • Liaise with the new business team and board of directors.
  • Undertake business travel as and when necessary.
  • Build and maintain long term relationships with a portfolio of existing clients and act as their dedicated and primary point of contact.
  • Focus on client retention and resolution of client problems and minor complaints in conjunction with the administration team.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of clients' business objectives, structures, challenges, and corporate service requirements.  
  • Be able to relay information between teams in a clear and concise manner, organise team meetings and drive projects to completion.
  • Undertake client visits, client meetings and answering client calls.
  • Comply with internal policies and procedures and to promote the administration team's compliance with these policies and procedures.
  • Identify and suggest effective corporate governance / controls required for the proper and effective administration of each company / entity during the take on process and communicate these to the administration teams.
  • Liaise with the compliance team during the take on process, undertake the collation of client due diligence and compliance with AML /KYC procedures.
 
Key Skills and Experience:
  • Proven track record in a similar business development role.
  • Emphasis on fostering strong relationships with clients and a flair for business development.
  • Solid background in the Corporate Services Industry (8 years +) and a robust understanding of corporate vehicles (SPVs, trusts, foundations), fund structures, statutory compliance, Economic Substance, CRS and FATCA.
  • Relevant industry recognised qualification (or by experience).
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the industry.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of regulatory and compliance considerations in the industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation and influencing skills.
 
The successful candidate must have a strong practical understanding of the CSP industry and the administration, governance, regulatory and commercial requirements associated with managing corporate structures and client relationships
