Our client seeks a temporary Administrator to assist their team on a short-term contract.
Role: To support operations through a combination of telephone work, data entry, and SOC coding. The role requires attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to follow guidance accurately.
Hours: 8 am to 4.30 pm Monday - Thursday, 4 pm on Fridays
Key Duties
- Make and receive calls to/from members of the public
- Clarify and collect information where required
- Provide clear guidance and support to respondents
- Accurately record call outcomes
- Input and update data on internal systems
- Check information for accuracy and completeness
- Resolve simple discrepancies where possible
- Assign Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) codes using ONS guidance materials
- Interpret job titles/descriptions provided by respondents
- Follow training and instructions to ensure consistent coding
- Escalate complex cases when needed
- Follow all processes, guidance, and quality standards
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- Work to deadlines and team targets
Key Skills and Experience:
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Basic IT and data entry skills
- Ability to follow instructions and guidance
- Reliable and able to work as part of a team
Desirable (not essential)
- Previous admin or call handling experience
- Experience working with structured data or coding systems
