Our client seeks a temporary Administrator to assist their team on a short-term contract.
 
Role: To support operations through a combination of telephone work, data entry, and SOC coding. The role requires attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to follow guidance accurately.
 
Hours: 8 am to 4.30 pm Monday - Thursday, 4 pm on Fridays
 
Key Duties
  • Make and receive calls to/from members of the public
  • Clarify and collect information where required
  • Provide clear guidance and support to respondents
  • Accurately record call outcomes
  • Input and update data on internal systems
  • Check information for accuracy and completeness
  • Resolve simple discrepancies where possible
  • Assign Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) codes using ONS guidance materials
  • Interpret job titles/descriptions provided by respondents
  • Follow training and instructions to ensure consistent coding
  • Escalate complex cases when needed
  • Follow all processes, guidance, and quality standards
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Work to deadlines and team targets
 
Key Skills and Experience:
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic IT and data entry skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and guidance
  • Reliable and able to work as part of a team
Desirable (not essential)
  • Previous admin or call handling experience
  • Experience working with structured data or coding systems
