Our client seeks a Facilities Assistant to maintain their exceptional office building.
 
You will support the day-to-day building operations, providing a safe and comfortable working environment for staff and tenants. This role may suit someone who has worked in a similar role and is looking to progress to bigger premises.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Completing tasks assigned through the facilities helpdesk, ensuring all requests are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Completion of assigned building and wider facilities checks, with the appropriate escalation made to the line manager in relation to any non-standard issues.
  • Assisting the line manager to ensure all facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health & safety standards
  • Completion of office moves, following respective floor plans and adhering to health & safety guidance
  • Act as head fire marshal for the Building
 
Key Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in a facilities team, or in a property maintenance role.
  • Practical trade experience is preferable.
  • A good knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices and regulatory environments would be beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
  • Calm under pressure, patient and approachable.
  • IOSH qualification is desirable but not essential. A good understanding of health & safety is important.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
