Our client seeks an experienced and driven and FATCA/CRS Assistant Manager to join their team.
 
This is an important role where you'll support the full AEOI (Automatic Exchange of Information) reporting lifecycle, from analysing and validating data to preparing submissions and responding to technical queries from across the business. Working closely with colleagues in Compliance, Tax, and Operations, you'll help ensure reporting obligations are met accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities:  
  • Support the end-to-end AEOI reporting process for FATCA (Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act) and CRS (Common Reporting Standard), ensuring timely and accurate submissions to tax authorities.
  • Ensure that AEOI policies and procedures are implemented in line with local and international regulations.
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance checks to maintain high reporting accuracy.
  • Prepare reports, certifications, and documentation required for AEOI compliance.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of AEOI regulations and their application within fiduciary services.
  • Act as a point of contact for AEOI-related queries, providing guidance on reporting obligations.
  • Liaise with internal teams (Compliance, Legal, Client teams) and external stakeholders (clients, auditors, tax authorities).
  • Collaborate with client-facing teams to ensure accurate client data collection and reporting.
  • Respond to ad hoc queries and support the business in understanding AEOI requirements.
  • Drive and support data quality improvements across local business units.
  • Support the automation and continuous improvement of AEOI reporting processes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of reporting technology solutions aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to gap analyses and definition of system and data requirements.
  • Support implementation of data tools for efficient extraction, transformation, and reporting.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies to enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Support identification and mitigation of risks related to AEOI reporting (e.g., data inaccuracies, non-compliance).
  • Assist in maintaining robust internal controls for reporting processes.
  • Contribute to regular reviews and updates of procedures in line with regulatory changes.
  • Assist in developing and delivering training on AEOI obligations and best practices.
  • Stay up to date with regulatory changes and promote continuous learning within the team.
 
Key Skills and Experience:
  • Advanced degree or relevant professional certification in Finance, Accounting, Tax, Law, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within fiduciary or financial services.
  • Minimum 3+ years' experience in AEOI / FATCA / CRS or related tax reporting roles.
  • Strong understanding of global tax and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience with reporting platforms, XML schema, and automation tools.
  • Experience in data analysis, validation, and manipulation (Excel, SQL or similar).
  • Exposure to technology-driven reporting processes; project/change management is a plus.
