Finance Assistant

Our client seeks a Finance Assistant to join them for a 2-month contract.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Distribution of any invoices that arrive by post/email to the respective Division for processing.
  • Processing expense claims as submitted.
  • Monitoring of creditor statements and taking appropriate action. Dealing with queries from creditors and colleagues.
  • Raising sales invoices requests using approved financial systems
  • Monitoring returned logs, checking for accurate codes & VAT recording, liaising as required with card users & authorisers.
  • Banking of cheques and donations
  • Maintaining accurate records of the money banked for recording in the accounts.
  • Distribution of paying in books to sites, requesting additional stock as required.
  • Administration of mileage logs and vehicle inspection forms for pool cars.
  • Filing of electronic and paper records within Finance and Corporate Services as required.
  • Distributing mail as it arrives to the relevant Division for handling and service outgoing mail.
 
Key Skills & Experience
  • An individual with experience of working in finance team and with finance systems
  • Sound IT skills, proficient in use of Microsoft Office tools, in particular Excel
  • Accurate, numerate and demonstrates attention to detail
  • Confident and self-motivated, able to deal effectively and positively day to day and with non-routine queries
  • A good team player who is self-motivated and takes responsibility for their own work
