Our client seeks a Finance Director to join their team
 
Role Profile: The Finance Director will serve as a strategic leader with responsibility for finance functions, including Treasury, Finance Systems, Payroll, Accounts Payable (AP) & Accounts Receivable (AR). The role will deliver robust financial operations across the organisation through a high-performing finance function that balances financial integrity, compliance, and operational excellence, and will be expected to partner with senior executives in support of strategic and commercial objectives.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive finance strategy that aligns with business goals and supports long-term financial sustainability.
  • Partner with senior executives to provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to drive business growth.
  • Oversee and coordinate financial planning and analysis activities to support key business decisions.
Treasury Management:
  • Lead the Treasury function, ensuring effective cash flow management, liquidity planning, and optimisation of working capital.
  • Manage relationships with banking partners, ensuring efficient cash operations, foreign exchange management, and risk mitigation.
  • Oversee the implementation of cash management strategies, ensuring optimal use of the company's financial resources.
Financial Operations & Systems
  • Lead end-to-end financial operations including Treasury, Payroll, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Cash Flow Management.
  • Champion automation, standardisation, and transformation initiatives across finance and accounting systems (e.g., ERP implementations).
  • Ensure efficient liquidity planning, foreign exchange management, and working capital optimisation.
Accounting & Financial Reporting
  • Manage operational accounting, ensuring timely and accurate bookkeeping across all legal entities.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, delivering consolidated financial reports up to EBITDA level.
  • Maintain integrity of the general ledger and ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are completed and reviewed.
Management Accounting & Consolidation
  • Oversee preparation and analysis of management accounts to support decision-making at both entity and group level.
  • Lead the consolidation of financial results across jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Standardise accounting practices and policies to ensure consistency and alignment across the organisation.
Governance, Compliance & Audit
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, statutory regulations, and audit requirements across all financial functions.
  • Manage relationships with auditors and regulatory bodies, ensuring smooth execution of statutory audits.
  • Maintain robust risk management and control frameworks to support financial integrity.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, promoting a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Build and execute a talent management strategy to support the professional growth and retention of finance team members.
 
Key Skills & Experience:
  • CPA/CA/ACCA or equivalent qualification strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role, ideally combining both strategic and operational responsibilities.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS/GAAP and multi-entity consolidation.
  • Demonstrated success in finance transformation, ERP implementations, and process optimisation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
