Reporting to the Finance Systems & Projects Technical Specialist, this position's primary focus is assisting in the delivery of Business as Usual functions as well as project work aligned to Group strategy.  
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Daily support to the finance function to ensure user access, chart of accounts updates and general system queries are dealt with.
  • Take a lead in the administration of the Group Purchase order system ensuring set-up and authorisation hierarchies are maintained as well as looking at process improvements
  • Support of the bespoke Finance Data Warehouse.
  • Project support, which may involve identifying requirements, development, testing and implementation.
  • Ongoing review of existing processes and systems and providing recommendations for change across the finance function
  • Implementation/upgrades of accounts systems, controls and procedures.
Key Skills and Experience:
  • Experience of using and administering finance systems and accounting packages as well as financial reconciliation systems.
  • A minimum of 3 years' previous experience within a Financial Services company. Knowledge of the policy life cycle is desirable.
  • A good working knowledge of MS Office and in particular Excel.
  • High level of analytical & numerical skills with the ability to work with and interpret large volumes of data.
  • Basic knowledge of databases and SQL Server Management Services would be beneficial.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organisational and problem-solving skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
