Group Financial Controller

Our client seeks a Group Financial Controller to join their team on a Fixed-term 9 to 12 months (Maternity Cover)
Role Profile: As an experienced and detail-oriented accountant you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting strategic financial planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, and revenue recognition
- Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports
- Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards
- Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and corporate service providers
- Manage a team
- Take care of collection
- Maintain relationships with banks
- Provide financial insight and support to management for strategic decision-making
- Oversee financial systems and recommend improvements where necessary
- Support the finance team and ensure a smooth handover during and after the maternity cover period
Key Skills and Experience:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a financial controller or senior finance role
- Experience in digital marketing, media, or iGaming industries is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) and Excel
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain high levels of accuracy under pressure
