Our client seeks a Head of Enterprise Solutions to join their team.
Role Profile: Responsible for building and leading the next-generation enterprise solutions capability a function that integrates solution design, product strategy, consulting, and technical leadership into one cohesive, high-performing team.
This role will shape and deliver enterprise solutions portfolio across connectivity, cybersecurity, cloud, data centre, collaboration, networking, and emerging AI capabilities. As a key member of the Enterprise Leadership Team, you will drive solution-led growth, accelerate digital transformation for customers, and position Sure as the trusted technology partner for businesses and government across the islands. This is a transformational leadership role that blends strategic vision, commercial acumen, and deep technology expertise. You will champion a solutions-first culture, inspire cross-functional collaboration, and ensure the business delivers measurable business outcomes to customers while driving profitable enterprise revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and deliver the vision for a unified Enterprise Solutions function that combines product management, solution architecture, and technology consultancy.
- Create a culture of innovation, accountability, and customer-centricity across the team.
- Shape enterprise technology strategy, focusing on cloud, cybersecurity, AI, data centre, and network evolution.
- Act as a senior leader in the Enterprise division and a contributor to broader commercial strategy.
- Build and continuously evolve a compelling enterprise solutions portfolio covering:
- Cloud (public, hybrid, and sovereign)
- Cybersecurity and managed security services
- Data centre hosting and next-generation DC/edge services
- Core connectivity (leased lines, SD-WAN, internet access, private 5G)
- Unified communications and collaboration
- AI-enabled solutions and automation services
- Managed IT services and digital workplace
- Ensure solutions are commercially viable, differentiated, secure-by-design, and aligned to customer needs.
- Lead the transition from legacy services to modern, cloud-based, scalable offerings.
- Develop GTM strategy for enterprise solutions, working closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams.
- Own solution-level financial performance, including:
- Revenue growth
- Margin improvement
- Attach-rate targets
- Contract profitability
- Total cost-to-serve optimisation
- Shape pricing models, including subscription, consumption-based, and managed service commercial structures.
- Ensure solution design supports tender success, bid competitiveness, and differentiated value propositions.
- Partner with Enterprise Sales to drive a consultative, solution-led selling approach.
- Support major bids and strategic opportunities with high-quality solution architecture and executive-level engagement.
- Act as the senior technical authority for strategic enterprise and government accounts.
- Ensure seamless transition from pre-sales to delivery, maintaining solution integrity and customer satisfaction through the full lifecycle.
- Serve as executive sponsor for key customers and major transformation programmes.
- Analyse market and technology trends to ensure the business stays ahead in cloud, cyber, AI, data, and connectivity developments.
- Develop industry-specific propositions, especially for financial services, government, regulated sectors, and multi-site enterprises.
- Drive innovation initiatives including AI-as-a-Service, data-driven insights, automation, and sovereign cloud advancements.
- Partner with vendors and ecosystem partners to co-create next-generation solutions.
- Define processes, governance, tooling, and frameworks for high-quality solution design and delivery.
- Ensure solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed performance standards.
- Implement lifecycle management processes to ensure solutions remain competitive, secure, and customer focused.
- Build strong alignment with Technology, Operations, and Support teams to maintain reliability and service excellence.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across solution development and delivery.
- Build and lead a best-in-class consultancy practice that integrates pre-sales architects, solution designers, product specialists, and post-sales technical consultants into a single, unified Enterprise Solutions function.
- Define the operating model, processes, standards, and governance for the practice, ensuring consistent quality, technical rigour, and customer value across all engagements.
- Establish clear roles, competencies, and career pathways for consultants and architects, ensuring the team has the right mix of technical depth, commercial awareness, and customer-facing skill.
- Create reusable solution frameworks, design patterns, playbooks, and templates to shorten time-to-value and improve consistency across pre- and post-sales work.
- Implement a structured engagement and resourcing model, including scoping, estimating, utilisation tracking, and profitability management for consulting engagements.
- Oversee delivery assurance for major projects and transformations, ensuring the practice maintains a reputation for high-quality execution and technical excellence.
- Drive continuous development of the consultancy team's skills in cloud, cybersecurity, networking, AI, data platforms, and modern enterprise architectures.
- Champion a culture of consultative selling, ensuring consultants and architects work hand-in-hand with Sales to shape opportunities, articulate business outcomes, and drive revenue growth.
- Build a knowledge management system to capture learnings, solution assets, and market insights to support repeatability, scalability, and capability uplift across the organisation.
- Ensure the consultancy function operates as a profitable, value-generating unit, contributing to enterprise revenues, margins, and long-term customer relationships.
- Build and scale the Enterprise Solutions team into a high-impact organisation over the next 12-18 months.
- Recruit, develop, and retain top talent across product, architecture, and consulting disciplines.
- Coach team members to enhance technical depth, commercial skills, and customer engagement capability.
- Foster a collaborative, innovative, and performance-led team culture.
- Understand and comply with the licence and other regulatory rules, Data Protection Law applying to the position & relevant Health and Safety responsibilities
- Undertake appropriate security awareness training covering information security, data protection, financial crime and payment card data and comply with their information security responsibilities. The postholder must hold a satisfactory Basic Police Disclosure
Key Skills and Experience
Essential
- Proven leadership experience integrating or managing professional services, product, solution architecture, or technology consulting teams.
- Deep understanding of enterprise ICT solutions, including cloud, cybersecurity, connectivity, networking, collaboration, and data centre technologies.
- Strong commercial acumen - able to shape business cases, pricing models, and solution P&L outcomes.
- Demonstrated success in engaging C-level stakeholders, especially CIOs and technology decision-makers.
- Experience leading complex enterprise bids and delivering large-scale transformation solutions.
- Ability to drive change, modernise teams, and build new capabilities in a growing enterprise business.
Desirable
- Experience building AI-enabled solutions or automation capabilities.
- Knowledge of data sovereignty, sovereign cloud, compliance, and regulated industries.
- Background in telecommunications, cloud service providers, cybersecurity firms, or IT consultancies.
- Understanding of solution monetisation, portfolio rationalisation, and lifecycle management.
