Our client seeks an Insurance Technician - Captives to join their team.
The successful candidate will support a small portfolio of captive insurance clients and the wider team where capacity allows. While prior insurance experience is helpful, it is not essential, full training will be provided. The key requirement is an individual who is detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working in a structured administrative role.
This is not a career-track technical role, but an opportunity for someone who enjoys structured work, supporting a team, and maintaining high standards of administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation, formatting, and distribution of Board meeting packs.
- Scheduling and organising Board meetings and logistics.
- Maintaining accurate filing systems (electronic and physical), including archiving.
- Proofreading documents to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Supporting document production and general correspondence.
- Preparation and issuance of policy documentation, including policies, endorsements, debit notes and certificates.
- Updating and maintaining client records and registers.
- Supporting claims administration, including updating bordereaux and arranging payments.
- Providing administrative assistance to Account Managers and accountants.
- Assisting with company secretarial tasks such as board minutes (where required).
- Supporting ad-hoc team projects and workflow peaks.
- Providing holiday and absence cover within the team.
- Managing and prioritising workload to meet deadlines.
- Highlighting issues or bottlenecks proactively.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Confidence managing multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow structured processes and procedures.
- Confidence dealing directly with external clients.
- Reliable, consistent, and able to manage routine tasks effectively.
- Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Desirable (but not essential):
- Previous experience in an administrative or office-based role.
- Exposure to insurance or financial services.
- Experience preparing formal documents or working to deadlines.
