Our client seeks a motivated and commercially aware Investments Trader to join their team.
This role offers direct exposure to global markets and real investment activity within a disciplined and professional environment. It is suited to someone looking to build a long-term career in financial markets. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a trading, investment, research or market-related role and a strong interest in financial markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ongoing monitoring of global financial markets and relevant news flow.
- Support trading activity and general market analysis.
- Maintain and update internal market data, spreadsheets and pricing models.
- Assist with trade support, execution processes and record keeping.
- Prepare concise written and verbal market updates and ad-hoc analysis.
- Remain informed on macroeconomic, geopolitical and sector developments relevant to the firm.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Strong interest in and understanding of financial markets.
- High level of numeracy and analytical thinking.
- Experience in a trading, investment, research or market-related role would be desirable.
- Excellent Excel skills (ability to work with data, models and pricing).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commercial awareness and curiosity about markets and investing.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
- Clear communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ideally, hold a Degree in finance, economics, mathematics or related discipline.
- Knowledge of Bloomberg or other market data platform.
