Our Client is seeking a Manager of Risk to join their team.
You will coordinate and work with their responsible parties in each country where the Group operates. The role will involve overseeing all aspects of risk and compliance for the Group. In this position you'll serve as a key member of their head office team and will have opportunities to take on new challenges in a supportive and encouraging environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide an evidence-based assurance to management and other stakeholders that their key risks are being managed effectively.
- Evaluate the effectiveness and proportionality of risk and governance arrangements in place to ensure governance and risk objectives are managed appropriately.
- Ascertain the extent of compliance with key procedures, policies, regulations and legislation adopted by, or imposed upon, the organization and its subsidiaries.
- Identify where weaknesses in internal control could lead to inefficiency, waste, fraud or irregularity.
- Develop KYC files and work with key members of the Group in each specific country to ensure files are accurate and up to date. This would include customers, suppliers, outsourced service providers such as tax advisors, payroll providers, customs brokers etc.
- Leadership and Teamwork - Lead, mentor, and develop the local tax staff, local tax experts and international offices relating to all tax aspects.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in risk, compliance, governance, or audit, ideally with multinational exposure.
- Strong understanding of international regulations, corporate governance standards, and compliance frameworks.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with experience mentoring and developing teams.
