Network Engineer - (Mobile Voice Core)

Our client is seeking a Network Engineer (Mobile Voice Core) to support and develop the systems responsible for delivering mobile and IP based voice services across their network.
This role focuses on maintaining the voice core environment including IMS platforms, VoIP services and voice interconnects with other telecom operators. You will play a key role in ensuring reliable voice services while helping introduce new communication technologies.
This role can be based in the Isle of Man, Jersey or Guernsey.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain mobile voice core and IMS platforms
- Support mobile voice, VoIP and SIP based communication services
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues affecting call routing and voice quality
- Support roaming services and voice interconnects with other telecom providers
- Maintain systems supporting services such as voicemail, SMS and voice routing
- Assist with the deployment of new voice services including cloud voice and Microsoft Teams integration
- Participate in network upgrades, expansion projects and vendor discussions
- Assist with security monitoring and incident response within the voice network environment
- Participate in an on call rota supporting the operational network
- Key Skills and Experience
- Experience working with telecom voice platforms or mobile core networks
- Knowledge of IMS, VoIP or SIP based services
- Understanding of telecom signalling protocols including SIP, Diameter or SS7
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of IP networking environments
- Experience working within a telecom service provider environment would be beneficial
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with internal and external stakeholders
