Part Time Secretary

Our client seeks a Part Time Secretary to join their team for 15 hours a week.
 
The successful candidate must be available Tuesday mornings (from 09:30) for weekly meetings. The ideal candidate will be able to quickly step into the role and operate with minimal supervision so they must have prior experience in a similar role and possess excellent organisation skills.
 
Key Responsibilities:  
  • Coordinating and administering recruitment and appointment processes including adverts, applications, interviews, references, and formal documentation.
  • Providing secretariat support including organising meetings, preparing papers, and taking clear, action-focused minutes.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for senior stakeholders and related parties.
  • Maintaining accurate records of appointments, terms of office, and related governance information.
  • Supporting website updates including vacancies, notices, and policies.
  • Assisting with information governance matters under direction.
  • Ensuring continuity of work between meetings and progressing actions independently.
 
Key Skills and Experience:  
  • Experience in administration, governance, or recruitment processes with attention to structured documentation.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and proactive approach to workload management.
  • Strong communication skills with confidence dealing with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently with sound judgement and appropriate escalation when required.
  • Complete discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to pick things up quickly with minimal handover period.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and shared systems.
