Our client seeks a Regulatory and Compliance Executive to join their team.
This varied role offers meaningful exposure to AML/CFT supervision, regulatory policy development, and engagement with government and other agencies. The position would suit either an experienced compliance professional looking for a role with breadth, or a developing professional with relevant exposure who is ready to take on greater responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the management, administration and delivery of AML/CFT supervisory inspections of member practices.
- Contributing to inspection working papers and reports while maintaining understanding of each practice's risk profile.
- Helping to maintain and improve the AML/CFT supervisory framework, internal policies, and professional Rules and Guidance.
- Acting as point of contact for law firms and their MLROs, handling queries and contributing to training programmes.
- Providing regulatory input to Council and Sub-Committees, contributing to consultation responses and horizon-scanning.
- Supporting the development of internal compliance frameworks and contributing to smooth office operations.
- Assisting with annual supervisory reporting and liaison with FSA, FIU and other government bodies.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Working knowledge of AML/CFT and regulatory environments (IOM experience preferred).
- Experience of inspection, audit or report-writing work is advantageous.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with sound professional judgement.
- Ability to engage credibly with senior stakeholders, regulators and members of the profession.
- Capability to take ownership of workstreams and operate independently when required.
- Experience working as part of a small, collaborative team.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.
