Our client seeks a Senior CRS & AEOI Reporting Officer to join their team
 
Role Profile:  Responsible for full ownership of the firm's Common Reporting Standard (CRS), FATCA, and Automatic Exchange of Information (AEOI) obligations. This includes managing end-to-end processes for data collection, validation, and submission to the Isle of Man Income Tax Division, ensuring absolute accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance. The role is a senior point of expertise within the business, advising management, administrators, and clients on reporting requirements and maintaining robust controls and governance over all reporting activities.
 
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Reporting Ownership
  • Take full responsibility for preparing, validating, and submitting CRS, FATCA, and AEOI reports across all client entities.
  • Ensure all filings are accurate, compliant, and delivered on time, with no missed deadlines.
  • Act as the main liaison with the Isle of Man Income Tax Division for submissions, queries, and remediation.
  • Keep abreast of all OECD, FATCA, and local ITO updates, ensuring processes remain compliant with evolving standards.
Data & Record Management
  • Oversee the capture, validation, and maintenance of client tax residency self-certifications.
  • Implement quality controls to ensure client and entity data is accurate and reporting-ready.
  • Maintain a centralised log of all reportable entities, reporting statuses, deadlines, and historical submissions.
  • Lead the remediation of errors, rejections, or corrections required by the tax authorities.
Governance & Compliance
  • Ensure reporting processes meet regulatory obligations, internal risk standards, and FSA compliance.
  • Develop, document, and oversee policies and procedures for CRS and AEOI reporting if necessary.
  • Work with compliance to identify and mitigate reporting risks.
Leadership & Support
  • Provide training and guidance to administrators and colleagues on CRS/FATCA obligations.
  • Escalate material risks or reporting concerns directly to the Managing Director.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to strengthen data quality and reporting efficiency.
  • Support external and internal audits in relation to AEOI obligations.
Reporting & Management Information
  • Deliver periodic management reports covering reporting progress, risks, and entity-level reporting stats.
  • Track and report on new obligations, regulatory changes, and potential impacts for the firm and its clients.
  • Provide insight and guidance to management on trends and developments in AEOI compliance.
 
Key Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in CRS/AEOI reporting or equivalent compliance/regulatory role.
  • Prior experience in a fiduciary, trust, corporate services, or tax environment .
  • Demonstrated ability to own and lead statutory/regulatory reporting functions.
  • Deep knowledge of CRS, FATCA, and AEOI frameworks and reporting obligations.
  • Proven ability to manage end-to-end CRS/AEOI reporting with full accountability.
  • Excellent data analysis, validation, and reconciliation skills.
  • High attention to detail with a zero-tolerance approach to errors.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise deadlines and manage competing demands.
  • Clear communication skills with regulators, management, and clients.
  • Proficiency with XML schema, tax reporting portals, and advanced Excel.
