Our client seeks a Senior Trust Administrator to join their team.
 
Role Profile: You will take responsibility for a designated portfolio of trusts and corporate structures and to complete all assigned tasks and processes, operating within the controls, guidelines and procedures as established by the directors/managers, including supporting, training and developing more junior members where required.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake all routine administration for clients or as instructed by the Manager.
  • Accurately carryout client banking instructions.
  • Good understanding of client take-on procedures and the associated risk involved.
  • Be familiar with team's existing allocated client portfolio.
  • Provide quality day to day service for own portfolio.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of trust and corporate regulatory requirements.
  • Strong communication in both written and verbal ensuring delivery is consistent, accurate and concise to  colleagues, clients and third parties.  
  • Accurately document the decisions agreed at Directors or Trustee meetings.
  • Have a good understand of basic legal documents and how to apply them.
  • Consult and escalate issues and exceptions to senior team members to alleviate problems or risks.
  • Maintain a positive and professional manner with both external and internal clients and colleagues.
  • Setting up and maintaining accurate and complete records for trusts and companies, within Viewpoint
  • Identify opportunities to further promote company services to clients and assist with marketing activities and attend marketing events locally where appropriate.
  • Assisting with projects that arise from time to time.
  • Pro-actively work with internal individuals and groups to ensure timely delivery of client data.
  • Ability to resolve queries by finding potential solutions.
  • Daily recording billable time
  • Responsible for cash collections and the control of debtors.
  • Take responsibility and accountability for self-development.
  • Provide support, guidance and motivate junior staff members.
  • Work on agreed training requirements and performance goals to ensure on-going development.
  • Strong attention to detail and a firm commitment to accuracy are essential skills for minimising unnecessary cost to the company.
  • Ensure Risk Assessments together with other reviews, filings and repetitive tasks are completed to a high standard and ensure same are completed within deadlines.
  • Have a good understanding of FATCA/CRS and Economic Substance laws within the Isle of Man.
  • Ensure timesheets are completed accurately and submitted promptly each week.
 
Key Skills and Experience
  • Strong knowledge and experience working within trust and company law, regulations and best practices.
  • Minimum of five years' experience within the fiduciary industry with client servicing at senior administration level or similar.
  • Working towards or hold a relevant qualification such as STEP or ICSA.
  • A commitment to a career in trust and corporate administration.
  • Excellent written and effective verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to use MS Word, Excel and Outlook at an intermediate level.
  • A demonstrated commitment to consistently providing good quality client service.
  • Good interpersonal skills and flexible to change and the needs of the business.
  • Be capable of working to a deadline/volume driven environment whilst maintaining accuracy and focus.
  • The ability to take responsibility for and to drive and execute tasks.
  • A willingness to learn new skills.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and focus on the most urgent and important task.
  • Demonstrate skills in planning and monitoring workload including self-management and ability to delegate to administrators in order to achieve goals within expected timescales.
