Our client seeks a proactive and experienced Technical Operations Senior Associate to join their team.
 
Role Profile You will be part of the Technical Operation team who are a team of specialist who form the first line of defence against money laundering and financial crime focused on client population described as either High Risk or Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs). You will be part of ensuring compliance with regulatory standards through the effective execution of AML-focused technical solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of AML processes, technical acumen, and the ability to deliver exceptional client service. The team are also responsible for the complaints process and reporting.
 
You will be a suitably qualified and experienced individual who is able to work collaboratively with a small group of technical operations colleagues and work closely with second line colleagues.
Other technical aspects of client service delivery will form part of this role such as FATCA and CRS reporting. This position demands a unique blend of technical proficiency, client engagement skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
 
Key Skills & Experience
Essential
  • Experience in performing technical reviews of client files to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to support the development and implementation of AML-focused technical solutions.
  • Strong understanding of AML regulations and compliance requirements, such as industry specific controls and risks
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients and advisors.
  • Capability to act as a point of contact and proficiency in handling client queries through various communication channels.
  • Highly self-motivated individual who is willing to participate and actively assist in improving current processes.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise own workload in a fast-paced environment and be able to make decisions within the remit of their role
  • Passionate about delivering excellent customer service
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Interview Exceptional analytical and investigative skills with the ability to present findings to different audiences
  • Commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively with internal compliance teams.
  • Ability to manage client transactions from start to finish as needed.
  • Demonstrate an inquisitive nature and willingness to highlight any concerns, particularly relating to KYC and CDD
  • Active contribution to departmental objectives and personal business objectives.
  • Previous experience within Life Assurance
  • ICA qualified to Certificate level
  • System Knowledge: Competent in Microsoft applications: Including Word, Outlook, SharePoint, and Excel
  • Knowledge of Finscan - Desirable
