Our client seeks an Accounts Administrator to join their team.
 
Role Profile: To manage and support the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables for the core business, processing bank payments and reconciliations.  To support the Financial Accounting Team to deliver the Company's core financial data (both internally and externally) by maintaining accurately and timely records for the business.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Purchase ledger management: reconciliation to supplier statements, processing and payment matching to ensure information is live;
  • Sales ledger management: credit control, maximising receipts and avoiding bad debts;
  • Manual general ledger journal entries (95% are automatically posted);
  • Credit card reconciliation and recharge to employees as appropriate;
  • Processing of bank payments and weekly BACS payment runs;
  • Support in the preparation of monthly financial information ;
  • Assist with annual statutory accounts preparation;
  • Ad-hoc reports;
  • Act at all times in accordance with best practice, legislation, company policies and procedures .
 
Key Skills & Experience:
  • CAT, part ACCA qualified or senior bookkeeper qualified by experience ;
  • 5 years' + experience in a similar finance role
  • Highly numerate, experienced in Excel and proficient across the full Microsoft Office package;
  • Strong analytical, planning and organisational skills aligned to the needs of the role;
  • Able to communicate confidently and coherently to key stake-holders, many of whom will not be members of the Finance team. Able to put key concepts into “layman's terms”;
  • Adapt at problem solving, able to hit the ground running, quickly get to the heart of matters and solve issues pragmatically;
  • Engaged team player with the desire to learn and develop an understanding of the department responsibilities and support colleagues in delivering those.
