Our client seeks a Finance Assistant to join their team and support the Finance Manager with coordination and collation of management accounts and related management information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of month-end transaction-based journals including banking of customer receipts and daily credit cards.
  • Support variance analysis and commentaries on management accounts and other key financial information.
  • Coordinate and help develop internal reports, ensuring delivery within agreed timescales.
  • Assist the Finance Manager with forecasting and budgeting processes.
  • Prepare and maintain process documentation and drive improvements to existing processes and controls.
  • Preparation and checking of expense invoices and purchase requests.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly financial reporting including variance analysis and commentaries.
  • Prepare and produce balance sheet reconciliations relating to general ledger codes.
  • Support initiatives to improve profits and profit margins.
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
 
Key Skills & Experience:
  • Experience in a similar financial role.
  • Currently studying for CAT, ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification.
  • Excellent analytical, evaluative and problem-solving abilities.
  • Intermediate Excel skills essential.
  • Highly motivated with ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to recognise and foster effective teamwork.
