Assistant Manager - Non-Life Insurance

• Assist in evaluating proposals for new authorisations, registrations, and changes to existing authorisations.  
• Support the day-to-day supervision of non-life insurance firms regulated under relevant legislation.
• Review, document and evaluate regulatory returns and underlying business profiles.
• Assist in planning, organising and conducting on-site inspections.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of regulatory systems and controls.
• Work on special ad-hoc projects as identified.
• Maintain effective relationships with regulated firms and other regulatory agencies.
• Handle public enquiries and complaints in a professional manner.
• Support the maintenance of a positive professional culture within the organisation.

• Previous relevant experience in operational, compliance, insurance, risk or audit/accounting roles.  
• Strong analytical skills with ability to quickly and accurately assimilate complex information.  
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.  
• Ability to work under pressure, manage varied workload complexity and competing priorities.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Experience in building and maintaining stakeholder relationships at all levels
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Hold or be working towards a relevant professional qualification.
• Awareness of non-life insurance, legislation and industry developments (desirable).
• Understanding of risk and risk frameworks (desirable).
