Manager - AML/CFT Supervision

Our client seeks an experienced Manager to join their AML/CFT Supervision Division.
 
Working in conjunction with Senior Managers and the Head of the Division, you will ensure the jurisdiction meets all relevant international standards in respect of AML/CFT and proliferation financing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct AML/CFT supervision of regulated and registered entities in accordance with the supervisory engagement model.
  • Lead inspection teams and conduct supervisory/oversight inspections, preparing detailed workbooks and reports.
  • Manage the request, receipt and analysis of AML/CFT data to feed into risk-based supervision planning.
  • Assist in responses to external AML/CFT evaluations by international authorities.
  • Update and amend relevant AML/CFT legislation and handbooks as required.
  • Provide industry outreach including organising and presenting at conferences and webinars.
  • Deliver AML/CFT expertise to other divisions and support enforcement investigations.
  • Provide leadership and business management, including effective staff management.
  • Develop effective relationships with regulatory bodies and law enforcement agencies.
 
Key Skills & Experience:
  • Extensive relevant industry experience in an operational, compliance, assurance, risk or audit role.
  • Well-developed working knowledge of financial services and associated legislation and guidance.  
  • Strong knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Terrorism financing legislation and regulation.
  • Proven people management skills and ability to work with senior stakeholders.  
  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to assimilate complex information and summarise effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities and deliver against deadlines.
  • A professional qualification, relevant to financial services (or willingness to obtain).
