Business Analyst

Our client seeks a Business Analyst to join their team for a 12-month maternity cover contract.
 
You will be part of a collaborative team that values fresh ideas, continuous improvement, and the power of great analysis. In this role, you'll help shape smarter processes and deliver solutions that truly make a difference.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs, pain points, and opportunities.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions.
  • Document functional and non-functional requirements using appropriate techniques (e.g., user stories, use cases, process maps).
  • Analyse data, workflows, and system behaviour to define the “as is” and “to be” state.
  • Map and model business processes using BPMN or other standards.
  • Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements aligned with business strategy.
  • Support development of new processes, policies, and operating models.
  • Work closely with 3rd Parties to ensure proposed solutions meet business needs.
  • Validate solution design and assess impacts on people, processes, and systems.
  • Support creation of acceptance criteria and test scenarios.
  • Collaborate with other Change members and SMEs to ensure successful delivery.
  • Support user acceptance testing, training, and readiness activities.
  • Contribute to business cases, benefits mapping, and prioritisation discussions.
  • Ensure alignment and traceability from requirements through to implemented solutions.
 
Key Skills & Experience:
  • 3-5+ years' experience in a Business Analyst role.
  • Business Analysis certifications (e.g., IIBA ECBA/CCBA/CBAP, BCS BA Certificates) -desirable but not essential.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) ideally.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to translate business problems into clear requirements.
  • Experience with requirements elicitation techniques.
  • Proficiency in process mapping and modelling tools.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills.
  • Data analysis skills (Excel, SQL, Power BI, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Change Management principles would be desirable.
